Domaine de Bois Mozé

The 37 hectares of vines are located on the hill of Coutures in the Loire Valley, planted in clay-limestone soil, with a schisty-gritty composition for Coteaux de l’Aubance AOP. The Estate is overseen by the majestic 15th-century tower, a symbol of Bois Mozé.

As a certified organic vineyard since 2017, they are deeply committed to biodiversity protection and environmental sustainability. They practice agroforestry, combining trees, culture, and animals on the same land, allowing the vines to thrive within their own ecosystem.

They cultivate five grape varieties: Chenin, Grolleau, and Pinot Noir are planted on the clay and slightly sandy soil at the top of the hill, while Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon are located at the bottom.

The wines have been produced since 2004 by a dynamic and enthusiastic team of six skilled wine professionals. The winemaking process takes place in the large, historic cellar, where stainless steel, fiberglass, and concrete vats are used alongside oak barrels. They prioritize natural yeasts for alcoholic fermentation, and some of the cuvées are produced sulfite-free. They are dedicated to reducing inputs and are always open to experimenting with other winemaking processes.
