Kumquat liqueur is an original and atypical citrus liqueur in our range.

To start, let’s talk about this unusual exotic fruit. The kumquats or Fortunella margarita are fruit trees that are neighbors of the mandarine, from the rutacea family like its cousins the orange and lemon. Small miniature oranges, kumquats are native to China. Moreover, its name comes from the Chinese "golden orange". This is the smallest citrus to date. But it has a specificity: its skin, its yellow-orange bark, is edible. The flesh is both acidulous and sweet. Therefore, this small round or oval fruit of 2 to 5 cm long is very particular in the mouth with notes both acidulous, bitter and fruity.

Thanks to its citrus notes, Kumquat liqueur can replace the famous Curaçao Triple Sec in cocktail recipes. This, by reducing the alcohol level in particular: 18 degrees against 40% for Curaçao, interesting right?! Likewise, it will be able to perfume your desserts. For the epiphany, for example, we propose to discover the recipe of the French-Comtoise cake! Original recipe on a base of cabbage paste, deliciously scented with orange blossom in its original version. Well, you start to know us: we will rather prefer to associate a liqueur with the choice, the liqueur of Mandarine or the liqueur of Kumquat! Let your creativity speak to create unique recipes with this "little I don’t know what" that makes the difference!
