Fleurieu Distillery - The Palace of Humbug Single Malt Whisky SA 53% 700ML
The Palace of Humbug - A Curious Dram Indeed
Continuing our whimsical journey through the world of Lewis Carroll, The Palace of Humbug is the latest in our series of peated releases inspired by the author's delightfully eccentric poetry.
This curious expression is a harmonious marriage of single malt matured in ex-Apera and third-fill peated Tawny and Apera casks. The result? A whisky as playful as its name, yet seriously satisfying in the glass.
Expect notes of wine gums and caramel swirling through gentle campfire embers - a fragrant peat nose dancing with soft, sweet undertones. Balanced, approachable and quietly complex, The Palace of Humbug is made for slow evenings and deep armchairs.
700ML | 330 Bottles | 53% Alc/Vol | 29.3 Standard Drinks
Casks: Peated 3rd fill Apera & Tawny
Nose: Subtle umami with hints of smoke
Palate: Buttery malt tones
Finish: Soft wisps from campfire embers
