Paparoc 2024

Light and Tender Red

IGP Côtes de Gascogne

The colour is a brilliant light red, highlighted with lively carmine reflections. On the palate, it offers freshness and softness, with red fruit flavours, lovely balance, and a long, elegant finish.

PapaRoc in Gascon means “poppy,” a name that evokes the shimmering colour of this easy-drinking red.

VINEYARD

The Protected Geographical Indication (IGP) Côtes de Gascogne stretches across ideally exposed hillsides between the Pyrenees and the Atlantic Ocean. The region enjoys a specific climate that enhances the full aromatic expression of its grape varieties, thanks to the alternation of mild days and cool nights. The combined influence of the Ocean and the Pyrenees ensures generous sunshine and the absence of water stress — ideal conditions for viticulture.

VINIFICATION

Grapes are carefully selected and left to macerate in the press for 12 to 24 hours, allowing them to release all their aromas. Other grapes undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 3 to 4 days, which gives them a smooth, rounded texture. They are then blended to create a wine with light tannins, delicate aromas, and a bright light-red colour.

TASTING NOTES
