In the series of larger format barrels (225 litre barriques) fondly called “The Matriarchs”, are casks named after women in the family. A fun-loving way to recognise their influence in shaping not only the lives of those they encountered but also those of future generations.
Krissy, Viv, Maralyn, Anna and Carolyn, women whose humour, encouragement and generosity of spirit continue to lift and inspire Fleurieu Distillery. If ever all of these gals were in a room we could guarantee Never A Dull Moment!
Never A Dull Moment Tasting Notes:
Limited to 1320 individually numbered bottles.
This Apera whisky originated from several larger format American oak barrels. Individually selected casks were carefully blended to capture the lively, sweet depth of flavour an Apera aged whisky can offer.
Colour – Bright copper in colour
Nose – Light maple syrup sweetness with hints of marmalade and white chocolate.
Palate –Mouth-watering toffee characters, sweet fruit spice.
Finish – Lingering toffee with a maritime salt finale and luscious mouthfeel.
