Serpents Tears Single Malt Welsh Whisky

Plundering the coasts of Wales in the 8th century, from their
longships, the Vikings could see a forboding protrusion looming
up out of the mist resembled a fearsome beast, so they named
it ‘horma heva’, meaning great dragon or sea serpent, before
turning and fleeing as as fast as their sails could carry them.

Having survived volcanic eruptions, dinosaurs and the ice age,
the Vikings were right to be afraid of the raging waters around
the Great Orme that claimed many lives and which became
known in folkore as the “Serpents Tears”
Close to the “Great Orme” in Llandudno, Penderyn’s Lloyd St Distillery has
been operating since July 2021

Bottled at 46% abv, Serpents Tears, will be the first single malt released from
Llandudno distilled stocks

The “First Release” of 6000 bottles sold out in less than 1 month and the first
of the regular releases is now available

Tasting Notes
Nose:. An autumnal day in a glass. Dry leaves, orchard fruits, wood smoke - dry logs on the crackling
open fire. Some creamy notes in the background and heavy toasted bread..
Palate: Sweet peat, soft vanilla cream, sugared pancake with burnt edges. Baking apples with the hint of
malt and a touch of peppery spice and clove
