Muscadet — Les Quinze Hommées (Organic)

Tasting This Muscadet is all about finesse and fruitiness. Beautiful golden-green colour. Exotic fruits and lemon. It is pleasantly fruity with a light spritz that gives it all its elegance.

Terroir The Château de la Templerie is located on a terroir composed of Clisson granite, nestled in the south of the Sèvre et Maine. The vines form small clusters on hillocks that emerge from a landscape dedicated to meadows and crops, open and well-ventilated. The soils have a coarse texture of very well-draining sands and pebbles, low in fertility. At the bedrock level, the same parent rock is found: "the Clisson granite." This characteristic is due to its proximity to a geological fault. This fractured base encourages deep root penetration of the vines.

Melon de Bourgogne Muscadet is made from a single grape variety: the Melon de Bourgogne. In 1709, after a terrible frost, the Melon grape left its native Burgundy to establish itself in a more oceanic climate, near the Loire and the Atlantic Ocean.

Grape variety: 100% Melon de Bourgogne

Serving temperature: 12°C

Ageing potential: 3–4 years

Food pairings: Aperitif, seafood, grilled fish, Asian cuisine.

Winemaking and ageing: For the vinification, we use state-of-the-art technology (pneumatic press, temperature control), while respecting our traditions and our terroir.
