Story notes: What is a Snark? The Hunting Of The Snark was originally published on April Fools Day by Lewis Carroll in 1876 and no-one is completely sure what one even looks like. You can hunt a Snark however, “with thimbles, you may hunt it with forks and hope; you may threaten its life with a railway-share; or charm it with smiles and soap”.After publishing the poem of the Snark, Carroll continued to be evasive on its meaning, refusing to answer questions about it. Eventually he admitted that it was intended to be a parable about the search for happiness.We hope you find happiness in sharing our latest peated release – the champion whisky at the 2023 Australian Distilled Spirits Awards.
