Pinot Noir – Domaine Bertrand

The Pinot Noir from Domaine Bertrand expresses the exceptional typicity of our terroir. Each plot is vinified separately to capture the essence of the Côte Chalonnaise before being blended to create a balanced and harmonious wine.

Grape Variety
100% Pinot Noir.

Tasting Notes
Bourgogne “Pinot Noir” 2022

The blend of several plots located in the villages of Saint-Martin-de-Montaigu, Saint-Jean-de-Vaux, and Barizey produces a limpid wine with an intense ruby color and violet highlights. The aromas first suggest sweet fruit such as blackcurrant candy, followed by notes of fresh raspberry. Then come delicate hints of integrated oak and touches of caramel. On the palate, the attack is generous, with well-rounded tannins and a beautiful length. It is a balanced, fresh wine that can be enjoyed on its own.

Service
Between 18 and 20°C

We recommend serving our wines 2 degrees above the usual temperature so they are perfectly settled and reveal all their complexity and aromas.

Ageing
All our wines are aged in oak barrels, with 30% in new barrels.

For our 2022 vintages, we experimented with the use of egg-shaped tanks. This unique process allows the wine to remain in constant motion, helping to preserve freshness and the purity of the fruit.

Following this successful experiment, we will continue to use the egg-shaped tanks for vintages where the fruit is ripe and juicy, in order to preserve their full fruity expression.
